YP is a well-known cleaning and disinfection company in Hong Kong, specializing in handling cleaning tasks for commercial clients. Their services include office air purification, carpet cleaning, restroom disinfection, post-renovation cleaning, pest control, and they also manufacture cleaning products in their own facility. In their cleaning and disinfection business, they have approximately 30 full-time and part-time cleaning workers. These workers have different schedules and work locations, and starting from the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, there was a significant increase in residential disinfection appointments. Managing the schedules of field workers became complex and chaotic, and efficiently assigning tasks and calculating wages became a challenge for the company.
Furthermore, the company wanted to launch an online store to sell disinfection items like masks during the pandemic to increase their revenue and product line.
